Due to a recent canine influenza outbreak in Southeast Michigan and at our facility, we are very sorry to report, we have closed our facility to all dogs that do not have the "Canine Influenza Vaccine H3N8 & H3N2". We are very sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. Two other dog daycare/boarding facilities have close in Southeast Michigan as well. We feel this is the best way to protect our beloved four-legged customers from becoming very ill again and to stop this virus from spreading in our area.
We are adding the "Canine Influenza Vaccine H3N8 & H3N2" (both strains are in one vaccine) as well as the parainfluenza vaccine to our vaccine requirements. The parainfluenza is part of the DHPP or DHLPP series or vaccines.

Please check your vaccines, consult with your Veterinarian or email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and we can do a quick check for you.

When your dogs receive the Canine Influenza Vaccine H3N8 & H3N2 for the very first time, it is two shots, two weeks apart then a 10 day period before your dog is fully protected. This means if you received the shot today, it is 24 days until they are fully protected. After the first series of shots, next year it is just one shot.
We are calling our boarding customers now to inform them. Daycare will be by appointment only until we can ensure all dogs are properly vaccinated.
If you do have all the vaccines up to date and would like to come to Camp Canine for boarding, daycare or grooming, please call for an appointment at 734-283-0060.
To all the very sick dogs that contracted the influenza virus in Southeast Michigan, we are praying for a quick recovery.
